Luca Cumani

Racing is in Luca’s blood; his father was champion trainer ten times in Italy and Luca won 85 races as a jockey before becoming a trainer himself in 1976.
He has trained two Derby winners - Kahyasi in 1988 and High-Rise in 1999 as well as Barathea, winner of the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Breeders’ Cup Mile. His highlight horses last season were the superb Alkaased and Starcraft.
Luca trained 36 winners from 248 runners in England last season, an impressive record which he aims to surpass in the future.

Aristocracy Racing Club has its own Pre-Training facility in Newmarket where the young horses are educated and schooled before entering
training. When they are ready they are sent to trainers of the highest calibre, namely world-renowned Henry Cecil, Luca Cumani and Jeremy Noseda.
